  • หมี่จู (ฟูอาน่า ฮิโรยาม่า) เป็นเด็กหญิงชาวเขาเผ่าอาข่า ที่ทุกคนในหมู่บ้านรู้ซึ้งถึงความแสบซนของเธอเป็นอย่างดี จนพ่อกับแม่ต้องส่งหมี่จูไปอยู่กับน้าที่พื้นราบ ที่นั่นเปรียบเสมือนโลกใบใหม่ที่หมี่จูไม่เคยรู้จักมาก่อน หมี่จูสนุกกับงานพิเศษคือรับจ้างถ่ายรูปกับนักท่องเที่ยว รูปถ่ายแต่ละใบบอกเล่าเรื่องราวบางอย่างกับหมี่จู ทำให้เธอคิดจะเปลี่ยนแปลงอะไรบางอย่างจากโลกใบเดิมที่เธอเคยอยู่

    ในขณะเดียวกันกลุ่มคนเล็กๆ ที่เรียกตัวเองว่า กลุ่มกระจกเงา ซึ่งมี พี่แป้น (พิมพ์พรรณ ชลายนคุปต์) เป็นหัวเรือใหญ่ ได้เข้ามามาทำโครงการทดลองชื่อว่า บ้านนอกทีวี นั่นคือโทรทัศน์ของชุมชนโดยชุมชน เมื่อ หมี่จู กลับมาที่หมู่บ้านอีกครั้ง หมี่จู จึงคิดจะบอกเล่าเรื่องราวบางอย่างในแบบของเธอ และพยายามทำทุกวิถีทางที่จะได้ออกรายการบ้านนอกทีวี

    คราวนี้เรื่องราวของ หมี่จู กลับไม่ใช่เรื่องซุกซนอีกต่อไป แต่เป็นเรื่องซาบซึ้งที่ทุกคนในหมู่บ้านสามารถซึมซับได้ด้วยความเข้าใจ โดยมีรายการบ้านนอกทีวีเป็นสื่อกลาง ความพยายามและความตั้งใจของเด็กผู้หญิงธรรมดาคนนี้ กำลังจะทำให้ดินแดนแห่งนี้เปลี่ยนไปตลอดกาล

  • Mheejou (Fuana Hiroyama) is a little girl from the Ahka hill tribe community in Thailand's most northern region. The Ahkas are still a self-sustaining community.

    A youthful NGO arrives at her village to build a small community TV station. All programming is to be about the village with the NGO planning ultimately to have the villagers produce their programs. The little girl is interested but there is a bit of commotion.

- ผู้กำกับ ปุ๊กกี้ - สุกัญญา วงศ์สถาปัตย์ ได้แรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้จากภาพชาวเขากำลังจับกล้องถ่ายทำในหนังสือพิมพ์ฉบับหนึ่ง เป็นภาพข่าวเกี่ยวกับสถานีวิทยุโทรทัศน์ชุมชน บ้านนอกทีวีของมูลนิธิกระจกเงา จึงหาข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมจนได้ทราบเรื่องจริงของเด็กผู้หญิงเผ่าอาข่าวัย 12 ปี ที่ซุกซนมากคนหนึ่ง

  • The Clock - In the year of 1940, the song Gloomy Sunday was known as the suicide song as many suicides recorded were related to it. Listening to this song has led to a French lady committing suicide as well after the death of her boyfriend, a clock engineer at that time.
