The Saturdays were also reportedly offered the chance to record songs rejected by Girls Aloud. Band member Mollie King told the Daily Star, "We all thought it was a bit of a cheek. Why would we want their rejects?
It's bad enough with all the comparisons being made."
The last track of Chasing Lights, "Why Me, Why Now" was originally a demo by Alex Cartana, but later picked up by The Saturdays. The girls stated that they were more worried about the sound of the album then the lyrical content, so they have no writing credits on the record.

2>Jason Mraz(Probably R&B)

Jason Mraz is a southern california wanna-be born in virginia to a brief stint in new york studying the ancient art of musical theatre. jason began playing guitar late in life, 18, at strawberry fields and on the streets of manhattan. during that period of experimentation and transformation, jason was inspired by a psychic in central park to dream the way he does today. the lesson offered to him was "to avoid the questioner and go with what you know. get experience youth, he said" and following this new rule as well as his instincts to sing he eventually made his way out west where he has spent the last two years in san diego learning from the best about sleep, peace, and poetry in song.

Jason has always had a vision to see how songs could be interpreted if left only to the listener to decide. what began as "songs to sleep to", a collection of songs for an album fit to play during one's dreamlife, has now evolved into a moving wide awake exploration for jason. since his ridiculous move out west (according to his virginia native family), he has shared venues with bob dylan, paula cole, jewel, and david gray to name a few.

Colbie Caillat, born in California grew up in Malibu and Ventura County. Growing up surrounded by music with her father, Ken Caillat, who was most notably remembered for Co-Production and Engineer credits on Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours among several others. Every sound of Colbie’s soulful style unfolds a story of her many travels through life.

Colbie started her singing debut at an early age [eleven] with special performances around her house. Within weeks she ventured out into talent shows and school performances. Her parents citing her as the “little bird” would wake up at the crack of dawn to her singing her heart out waking the house. With the help of her parents she was charmed into the idea and the truth that she had potential and put herself into vocal coaching.

"Fall Out Boy"

Background information
Origin Wilmette, Illinois, United States
Genre(s) Alternative rock, emo, [1][2], pop rock,
Years active 2001–present
Label(s) Decaydance/Island, Fueled by Ramen, Uprising

Fall Out Boy is a Grammy-nominated alternative rock band from Wilmette, Illinois, formed in 2001. The band consists of Patrick Stump (vocals and guitar), Joe Trohman (guitar and vocals), Pete Wentz (bass guitar and vocals), and Andy Hurley (drums and percussion).

With Pete Wentz as the band's primary lyricist, and Patrick Stump as the primary composer, Fall Out Boy reached mainstream success with its major label debut, From Under the Cork Tree.
Released in 2005, the album won several awards and has achieved double platinum status after selling more than 2.5 million albums in the United States alone.

Musical style
While widely considered to be a pop punk band, Fall Out Boy is often described as emo and cites emo group The Get Up Kids as an influence. When interviewed for a retrospective article in Alternative Press at the time The Get Up Kids disbanded in 2005, Pete Wentz stated that "Fall Out Boy would not be a band if it were not for The Get Up Kids."
Fall Out Boy's main songwriters are Patrick Stump (melody) and Pete Wentz (lyrics), though they traditionally credit the whole band as songwriters.

Their albums Take This To Your Grave and From Under The Cork Tree are both said to have pop punk as well as punk rock sounds and influences, and their second most recent work, Infinity on High, features a wide range of styles and instrumentation, including orchestral and choral arrangements ("Thnks fr th Mmrs" and "You're Crashing, But You're No Wave") and a slower piano ballad ("Golden").
On the band's latest work, Folie à Deux, Fall Out Boy continues to evolve their sound, increasing the use of piano ("What a Catch, Donnie", "Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet" and "20 Dollar Nose Bleed"), synthesizers and guest artists (Debbie Harry, Elvis Costello, Lil Wayne, Pharrell Williams).
The band also shows a number of influences, with the opening track borrowing a chord sequence from The Who song "Baba O'Riley" and "What a Catch, Donnie" referencing Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway in both sound and lyrics.

The band has worked with many producers and artists, including The Neptunes, Timbaland, Lil' Wayne and Kanye West, who Patrick Stump described as "the Prince of his generation."
In general, the group has direct ties to melodic pop music, with Patrick Stump becoming a producer aside from his work with the band, and they also are closely connected to hardcore punk, as evident in their use of throat vocals and their prior involvement in the underground Chicago music scene.
Moreover, a central part of Fall Out Boy's sound is rooted in the band's lyrics, mainly penned by bassist Pete Wentz, who commonly uses irony and other literary devices to narrate personal experience and stories.

these are studio albums: Evening Out with Your Girlfriend / Take This to Your Grave / From Under the Cork Tree / Infinity on High / Folie à Deux

Schrei sold more than half a million copies worldwide and spawned four top five singles in both Germany and Austria.
In 2007, the band released their second German album Zimmer 483 and their first English album Scream which have combined album sales of over one million copies worldwide and helped win the band their first MTV Europe Music Award for Best InterAct. The former, Zimmer 483, spawned three top five singles in Germany while the latter, Scream, spawned two singles that reached the top twenty in new territories such as Portugal, Spain and Italy.

Tokio Hotel's genre definition is a matter of a debate. Frankfurter Rundschau article describes their music as "Straightforward pop-rock with catchy melodies and a well-calculated mix of "stolen" Metallica riffs and romantic ballad elements." "Lyrics laced with "emo" angst, wrapped in a flamboyant pop-rock package", says an ABC reviewer, mentioning that style "range from catchy pop anthems... to appealing rock ballads" from song to song. "Black Eyed Peas"

Background information
Origin Los Angeles, California, United States
Genre(s) Hip pop, alternative hip hop
Years active 1995–Present
Label(s) Interscope, A&M
Associated acts Justin Timberlake, Dante Santiago, The Pussycat Dolls, Macy Gray

Members
Will.I.Am (1995–Present)
Apl.De.Ap (1995–Present)
Taboo (1995–Present)
Fergie (2003–Present)

The Black Eyed Peas are an American hip hop group from Los Angeles. As of 2009, the group is composed of will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie. Since its breakout album Elephunk in 2003, the group's pop/dance-oriented style of hip hop music has sold an estimated twenty-seven million albums and singles worldwide.

History
Will.i.am (born 1975 William James Adams Jr.) and Apl.de.ap (born 1974 Allan Pineda) began rapping and performing together around Los Angeles. The pair signed to Ruthless Records (run by Eazy-E) after catching the attention of the nephew of Jerry Heller (Eazy-E's manager). Along with Mookie Mook (Burning Star), & DJ Motiv8 (DJ Of B.E.P.), they called their group Atban Klann. Their debut album, Grass Roots, was never released because Ruthless did not consider the social themes reflected in the group's music to be marketable to their audience.

After Eazy-E died of AIDS in 1995, the group changed their name to Black Eyed Peas; Will.i.am explained on the front cover of the Monkey Business album that "Black Eyed Peas are food for the soul", hence the name. will.i.am has cited the Red Hot Chili Peppers as an influence, and said he named his band after food, like them.
Taboo (born Jaime Gomez) joined the group. In 1996, they produced and appeared on a song entitled "That's Right" for Brian Austin Green's hip-hop album One Stop Carnival. Later, they began using Kim Hill as a steady background singer. Kim worked on a solo project with Interscope Records. In 2000 Kim Hill left the band.
It is often thought that she was replaced by Fergie (Stacy Ferguson), who joined the group in 2003.
However, Fergie was just to be featured in one song, but later Will decided to offer her a position of being in the band. Unlike many hip-hop acts, they chose to perform with a live band and adopted a musical and clothing style that differed wildly from the other Los Angeles-based hip-hop acts at the time.
Through the mid-90s, the group performed in the local club circuit alongside artists such as Ozomatli and Jurassic 5.

They've transcended their vigilant hip-hop roots and have become a global phenomenon, the likes of which the music world has rarely seen. Ever-curious and ever-confident, that group is The Black Eyed Peas, and after energizing crowds 'round the globe with the monster-stomp of Elephunk, it's time for the quartet – William, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo to get down to business – Monkey Business, that is.

2003’s Elephunk was a breakthrough album for The Black Eyed Peas, vaulting them to a level of success unparalleled by any other hip-hop group. The accolades are quick to recite: 7.5 million albums sold worldwide, 4 Grammy nominations, 1 Grammy award, and an unforgettable performance on the 2005 broadcast. But fitted with loose rhymes, buoyant anthemic funk and an ebullient live spirit, the album also heralded a new sound for the modern age – one that is inspired by hip-hop, eschews boundaries and inhibitions, and cuts across ages, races and backgrounds. It is a sound that can be described only as One Nation Under A Black Eyed Peas Groove

The Corrs are a Celtic folk rock group from Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland. The group consists of the Corr siblings: Andrea (vocals, tin whistle); Sharon (violin, vocals); Caroline (drums, percussion, bodhrán, keyboards, vocals); and Jim (guitar, keyboards, vocals).

The Corrs came to international prominence with their performance at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, they have released five studio albums and numerous singles, which have reached platinum in many countries.[1] Talk on Corners, their most successful album to date, reached multi-platinum status in Australia and the UK.[2]

The Corrs have been actively involved in philanthropic activities. They have performed in numerous charity concerts such as the Prince's Trust in 2004 and Live 8 alongside Bono in 2005. The same year, they were awarded honorary MBEs for their contributions to music and charity.[3] The Corrs are on hiatus because Sharon, Jim, and Caroline are raising families, while Andrea is pursuing a solo career.

Musical style and influence
When asked to describe their genre, Caroline Corr said it was a "blend of modern rhythms and technology with acoustic instruments, violin, tin whistle, drums, and of course the voices, the marrying of these instruments is our sound". The Corrs' music is typically categorised as folk rock. This is evident in their first two albums, Forgiven Not Forgotten and Talk on Corners, although Andrea described the genre of Talk on Corners by saying "it [has] got more of an edgy feel, a little bit more guitar-orientated and also an Irish sound, which is in Forgiven, Not Forgotten.

In Blue moved to towards mainstream pop, placing heavy emphasis on synthesisers. The move attracted criticism from many; one Entertainment Weekly critic called it "a disheartening example of musical ethnic cleansing". However, a USA Today critic called it "the best mainstream pop album you're likely to come across".

Borrowed Heaven placed heavier emphasis on guitars, while retaining the original folk rock genre. Home is a traditional Irish album, where the band covered many traditional Irish songs.
The album contained songs from different eras of Irish music. It included a 1,000-year-old song called "Return to Fingal" and "Old Town", a 1982 song written by the late Phil Lynott.

The Corrs' main influences were their parents who were musicians and encouraged them to learn instruments.
They drew inspiration from musicians such as The Eagles, The Police, The Carpenters, Simon and Garfunkel and Fleetwood Mac,[75] which Sharon said in an interview with CNN is the reason "our songs are very, very melodic and [harmonious]".

The Pussycat Dolls are an American pop girl group, and dance ensemble founded by choreographer Robin Antin. The group originated in 1995 as a burlesque troupe based in Los Angeles, California. After attracting national attention, Antin eventually negotiated a record deal with Interscope Records in 2003, and the troupe was re-cast as a music group, comprising lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Carmit Bachar.
Subsequently the group also diversified into reality television programs, a Las Vegas act, venue, and casino, merchandising, and other ventures overseen by Antin, Interscope and their partners.

The Pussycat Dolls achieved worldwide success in 2005 with their album PCD, which debuted at number five on the U.S Billboard 200 Chart, and produced the hits "Don't Cha", "Buttons", and "Stickwitu", the last of which earned the group a Grammy Award nomination.
Following the departure of Carmit Bachar in March 2008, the group continued as a quintet, and in 2008, released their second studio album Doll Domination, which included the hits "When I Grow Up" and "I Hate This Part". Throughout their rise to fame, the group has been criticized for its overtly **ual image and explicit dance routines, and for the over-emphasis on the lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, who sings nearly all of the group's lead and background vocals.

In 2003, Nicole Scherzinger, a former member of Popstars winners Eden's Crush, became the group's lead singer. In the same year, sopranao vocalist Melody Thornton was also recruited in order to add vocal strength to the group. The Pussycat Dolls' musical line-up consisted of Scherzinger, Thornton, Carmit Bachar, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Kaya Jones (Kaya later left the group after recording and appearing in "Sway" music video).
By the time the recording group was launched, their stage costumes were developed to bear various branding and "PCD" logos, which preceded the sales of a branded clothing range and other merchandise (via websites and at performances). Their repertoire was expanded to include new Pop/R&B songs, with hit producers and guest rappers, while still retaining some of the pop standards from their earlier incarnation.
They appeared in two soundtracks in 2004 for the films, Shark Tale and Shall We Dance? The newly formed recording group's first single was "Sway" from Shall We Dance?, with a music video inspired by the movie.

On September 13, 2005, they released their debut album, PCD, debuting at number five on the Billboard 200. Their first single, "Don't Cha" was a hit, reaching number one in multiple countries including UK, Australia and Canada and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song was originally a cover of the Tori Alamaze single featuring rapper Busta Rhymes.
The group won a Billboard Music Award for "Don't Cha" (Ralphi Rosario mix) as Hot Dance Music/Club Play Single of the Year.

The album spawned six more singles. The ballad "Stickwitu" was another top five in the U.S., selling over three million digital downloads and CDs worldwide.[citation needed] The song was the group's second UK number 1 hit.It was later nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop Performance By a Duo or Group. Their third single, "Beep", which featured rapper will.i.am, did not perform as successfully as the previous two singles but still went to number one internationally.
A subsequent single, "Buttons" (with rapper Snoop Dogg) reached number three on the UK Singles Chart; the next single, "I Don't Need a Man" was not as successful, although it reached the top 10 in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and UK.
The group's sixth single from the album was "Wait a Minute" featuring Timbaland released in the U.S. in August 2006, becoming a top 40 hit worldwide.

In 2006, San Francisco-based company Doppelganger (along with Interscope Records) launched the PCD Music Lounge, an interactive website. In late 2006, the Pussycat Dolls were also featured in a commercial for Cingular Wireless along with Ludacris and Korn. The group was selected to perform for the introduction for ABC's coverage of the NBA.[18] In 2007, a version of "Right Now" was used as a theme song for the NBA, though the lyrics had been altered.

An official megamix of all the singles from PCD has been released.

On March 8, 2008, Carmit Bachar left the group, confirming the news by posting a blog on the group's official website. The Pussycat Dolls are said to be continuing as a five-piece. They performed for US troops in Kuwait for Operation Myspace. They sang all of their singles. In the absence of Bachar, her vocal parts are now performed mostly by Jessica Sutta.
