Invitation to the Kathina Fundraising Ceremony

Dear Friends,

You are warmly invited to the Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony (Tod Pa Pha Samakkhi) in support of Wat Thai Bhavana, Ballarat. Your generosity, through donations or gift cards (e.g. Bunnings Warehouse), will help with the temple’s construction.

Program Schedule:
10:00 am: Gather in front of Vigorous Thai
10:15 am: Procession with the Kathina tree along Russell Street → through Chinatown to Exhibition St→ return to Vigorous Thai
10:45 am: Main ceremony: Paying respects, receiving precepts, offering of Kathina tree, making merit, water-pouring ritual, and receiving blessings
11:20 am: Monks proceed to Heng Restaurant (135 Bourke St) for their midday meal
11:30 am: Staff of Vigorous & Vigo are invited to share a meal together.
1:00 pm: Escort monks to their transport
1:15 pm: Monks depart for the temple
