We @charmjokandsoup recently visited @foundation_for_slumchildcare a local foundation to share healthy congee and toys with children living near trash facilities. Many of their parents Thai and migrant workers from Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar-work full time sorting waste to survive.
Some of these parents are very young, often single mothers aged 15-20. With no childcare, their children end up spending the day playing among piles of trash while they work.
This foundation cares for newborns up to 5 years old, giving them clean showers, warm meals, and a safe place to play instead of growing up in unsafe conditions. There are many places like this in Thailand that don’t get the attention they deserve. We hope to help raise awareness so it becomes easier for others to help too.
All donations are welcome ❤️ #moretogive
