As a diver, the ocean has been one of my greatest teachers. It shows me how no species can exist in isolation. Each fish, coral, and blade of seagrass needs the rest of its ecosystem to thrive. This World Environment Day on 5 June is a clarion call to end marine pollution, to keep it out of our waters and reefs, as well as our lands, air and bodies. Let's learn from nature and act together, because only through unity and collectivity can we restore the health of our planet.
