The 9th Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation (APAN) Forum wrapped up with an impactful closing ceremony and a strong call to action for transformational climate adaptation. Organized by @UNEPasia_pacific, the forum was held on October 3, 2025, at the UNCC in Bangkok, Thailand. 🇹🇭

The ceremony began with a surprise performance from @UNEP Goodwill Ambassadors @AntoinetteTaus and @AlexRendell, joined by UNFCCC Director of Adaptation, Dr. Youssef Nassef.

Global leaders reaffirmed that transformational adaptation goes beyond adjusting to climate change; it is about redefining development pathways to ensure adaptation that is just, inclusive, and deeply transformative through inclusive governance, equitable finance, community leadership, and systemic collaboration.

During the ceremony, Antoinette also paid tribute to Dr. Jane Goodall (@janegoodallinst), honoring her life of service to the Earth and all living beings, inspiring everyone to continue her legacy of hope, empathy, and action for our planet. 🌏
