1,071 days ago, when I auditioned for #KungFuSoccer in Hong Kong, @stephenchow asked me,

“Can you play football?”

I answered honestly,

“No”

At that moment, I thought it was over.

I couldn’t stop thinking,

“How am I supposed to play a footballer if I don’t even know how to play football?”

And I thought I might actually have a chance… if only I knew how to play football.

So instead of waiting for another chance, I decided to create one.

The moment I returned home, I started football training three days a week.

Three months later, I sent them this short greeting video to show them my progress, my movement, my running, my footwork. Basically, everything I had been practicing.

Then I kept training for another eight months, with no confirmation that I would ever get the role.

But I chose to keep going anyway.

And luckily, as you probably already know by now…

I’m so happy that all of this eventually led me to become part of Kung Fu Soccer!

And I’m so excited to hear that the box office has already exceeded RMB 2,200,000,000!!!
