Ben Keats (Gil Bellows) is the president of Image Systems, a high-tech firm on the cusp of a lucrative breakthrough due to the discovery of an incredible invention called "Kidtrace". Ben is married to beautiful and sensible LAURA (Estella Warren) and is approached by Vincent Palmer (Christian Slater), a merciless headhunter, to transfer companies.

Loyal to Henry Westbrook (Michael Clarke Duncan), Ben's Image Systems mentor, he turns down Vincent's offer but Vincent, doggedly determined to earn his seven figure fee, will not take no for an answer and inflicts his manipulative, violent schemes upon Ben.
