หนุ่มนักร้องแนวร็อก อาเจีย (ฟั่นอี้เฉิน) ไม่ประสบความสำเร็จที่ไทเป จึงถอดใจกลับมาเป็นบุรุษไปรษณีย์ที่เมืองเหิงฉวนบ้านเกิด วันหนึ่ง อาเจีย พบห่อพัสดุที่ไม่สามารถส่งให้ใครได้ แม้จะขัดต่อกฎหมาย แต่ อาเจีย ก็ตัดสินใจเปิดห่อพัสดุออกดู เขาพบจดหมายรัก 7 ฉบับซึ่งเขียนขึ้นเมื่อ 60 ปีก่อน ที่อยู่แบบญี่ปุ่นโบราณตามที่จ่าหน้าซองนั้น ปัจจุบันไม่มีอยู่อีกต่อไปแล้ว

ขณะเดียวกันนั้น บ้านพักตากอากาศในท้องถิ่นกำลังเตรียมจัดคอนเสิร์ตริมทะเลของนักร้องหนุ่มชาวญี่ปุ่น โคอุซึเกะ อาตาริ (โคอุซึเกะ อาตาริ) ซึ่งชาวบ้านที่นี่จะรับหน้าที่เป็นวงดนตรีเปิดงานเอง โทโมโกะ (จิเอะ ทานากะ) นางแบบสาวญี่ปุ่นที่พูดภาษาจีนกลางเดินทางมาที่นี่เพื่อฝ่าฟันงานหิน นั่นคือเป็นผู้จัดการให้วงดนตรีสุดประหลาดที่นำโดย อาเจีย กับชาวบ้านอีก 6 คนที่แทบจะไม่มีอะไรเหมือนกันเลย

หลังจากเริ่มงานกันอย่างทุลักทุเล อาเจีย กับ โทโมโกะ กลับสานความสัมพันธ์แนบแน่นขึ้นได้อย่างน่าไม่เชื่อ และด้วยความช่วยเหลือของ เหมียงจู (หลินเฉียวเผ) แม่บ้านในโรงแรม ในที่สุด อาเจีย ก็พบตัวคนที่เขาควรจะมอบจดหมายรักปริศนาเหล่านั้นให้ อาเจีย จัดการส่งมอบจดหมายรัก 7 ฉบับ พร้อมกับ โทโมโกะ ที่เตรียมตัวกลับไปทำงานที่ญี่ปุ่น แม้จะรู้สึกหัวใจสลาย แต่ อาเจีย ก็ยังคงเตรียมขึ้นเวทีคอนเสิร์ตด้วยจิตใจที่มุ่งมั่น

Aga (Van Fan) is a struggling young rock band singer who could not find success in Taipei. He returns to his hometown Hengchun to be a postman. One day, Aga comes across an undeliverable piece of mail. Aga unlawfully opens the package to discover seven love letters composed 60 years ago, but the old Japanese-style address Cape No. 7, Hengchun County, Takao Prefecture can no longer be found.

Meantime a local resort hotel is organizing a beach concert featuring Japanese pop singer Kousuke Atari (Kousuke Atari). The opening band will be composed of locals. Tomoko (Chie Tanaka), an over-the-hill Mandarin-speaking Japanese fashion model dispatched to Hengchun, is assigned the difficult task of managing this hastily assembled band, led by Aga along with six other locals of rather particular backgrounds.

After a frustrating trial period, Aga and Tomoko unexpectedly begin a relationship. With some assistance from hotel maid Ming-Chu (Shino Lin), Aga find the rightful recipient of the seven love letters. Tomoko then tells Aga that she plans on returning to Japan because of a job offering. After returning the seven love letters, a heartbroken Aga is still determined to perform a concert.
