  • แฟรงก์ กูด (โรเบิร์ต เดอนีโร) อาศัยอยู่ตัวคนเดียวในเอลมิรา นิวยอร์ก เขาเป็นพ่อม่ายที่ป่วยเป็นโรคหัวใจ เกษียณจากการทำงานในโรงงาน และคอยผลักดันลูกๆ วัยผู้ใหญ่ไปสู่ความสำเร็จด้วยความภาคภูมิใจ ในฤดูร้อนปีหนึ่ง ลูกๆ ทั้ง 4 คนต่างก็ขอยกเลิกงานเลี้ยงรวมญาติ แฟรงก์จึงฝืนคำสั่งหมอ แล้วออกเดินทางไปเยี่ยมพวกเขาแต่ละคนด้วยตัวเอง

    เขาไปหาลูกชายซึ่งเป็นศิลปินในนิวยอร์ก ลูกสาวซึ่งเป็นผู้บริหารงานโฆษณาในชิคาโก ลูกชายซึ่งเป็นวาทยากรและกำลังเดินสายเปิดการแสดงอยู่ที่เดนเวอร์ และลูกสาวซึ่งเป็นนักแสดงในเวกัส ปัญหาก็คือไม่มีใครเหมือนกับที่คุณพ่อเคยจินตนาการหรือวาดฝันไว้เลย ลูกๆ จะยอมเผยตัวตนที่แท้จริงออกมาหรือไม่ แล้วคุณพ่อจะรับมือกับความจริงของพวกเขาได้หรือเปล่า

  • Frank Goode (Robert De Niro) lives by himself in Elmira, NY, a recent widow with heart trouble, retired from a factory job, proud of having pushed his adult children toward success. In the summer, all four kids bail on a reunion, so, against doctor's orders, Frank decides to surprise each with a visit.

    He sets out to see his artist son in New York City, his daughter the ad exec in Chicago, his son the conductor on tour and presently in Denver, and his daughter who's a performer in Vegas. None are as he imagines or hopes. Will they let him see themselves as they are, and can this dad adapt?

  • The Clock - In the year of 1940, the song Gloomy Sunday was known as the suicide song as many suicides recorded were related to it. Listening to this song has led to a French lady committing suicide as well after the death of her boyfriend, a clock engineer at that time. Her soul was not at peace and it returned with the purpose of fulfilling the desires of other victims of depression. Cheata, a girl living with her father and stepmother after her biological mother, Chanda, left the family, is suffering from depression. Every day she suffers mental and physical abuses from her stepmother. Together with her longing for her true mother, this had led Cheata to slip deeper and deeper into depression. Holding on to her mother's photo and listening to her mother's lullaby every night does little to heal her heartache and depression.
