A drama that investigates anxiety and disillusionment in America. When Lana steps off the bus in downtown Los Angeles, she has left behind her years as a student in Israel, and begun the search for uncle Paul, her only living relative. A Vietnam veteran with deep emotional wounds, Paul roams the city in a battered can full of surveillance equipment, trying to weed out people he feels are a danger to the state.

Landing in a downtown mission, yet optimistic about her future, Lana's life will intesect with Paul's, taking both of them, as well as the audience. But the real quest in land of plenty is the quest for America after 9/11.
