ในวันฉลองครบรอบ 1 ปีของการแต่งงานระหว่าง โมแร (ชินมินอา) และ ซังอิน (คิมแทอู) หลังจากที่ต้องวุ่นอยู่กับการเตรียมงานฉลองช่วงเช้า โมแร ก็เดินทางไปยังงานแสดงศิลปะเพื่อหาของขวัญสุดพิเศษให้กับ ซังอิน ที่นั่นเธอได้พบชายแปลกหน้าคนหนึ่ง และเรื่องราวที่ไม่คาดฝันก็นำพวกเขาไปสู่ความสัมพันธ์อันลึกซึ้ง โมแร กลับบ้านพร้อมความรู้สึกผิดอยู่เต็มอก เธอไม่สามารถปิดกั้นความรู้สึกของตนเองได้ จึงสารภาพกับ ซังอิน ในที่สุด
ในคืนนั้นเอง มีผู้เดินทางมาเยือนบ้านของพวกเขา นั่นคือ ดูเร (จูจีฮุน) พ่อครัวอัจฉริยะจากปารีส ที่จะมาช่วย ซังอิน ดูแลธุรกิจร้านอาหารใหม่ โมแร ตกใจมาก เพราะเขาคือชายที่เธอพบในงานแสดงศิลปะนั่นเอง และเมื่อ ดูเร ต้องมาอาศัยอยู่ในบ้านหลังนี้ชั่วคราว เรื่องราวรักสามเส้าสุดแสนอันตรายก็เริ่มต้นขึ้น
Today is Mo-rae (Shin Mina) and Sang-in's (Kim Tae-Woo) one-year wedding anniversary. After a busy morning preparing for the celebration, Mo-rae goes to an art gallery to find a gift for Sang-in. At the gallery, she meets a complete stranger and the two unexpectedly have sex. Mo-rae returns home feeling anxious and guilty about the incident and cannot help but confess it to Sang-in.
That night, a visitor arrives at their house; Du-rae (Ju Ji-Hun), who came from Paris to help Sang-in with his new business. To Mo-rae's shock, he is the man from the gallery. He temporarily lives with the couple in their house and a risky love triangle begins.

- The Clock - In the year of 1940, the song Gloomy Sunday was known as the suicide song as many suicides recorded were related to it. Listening to this song has led to a French lady committing suicide as well after the death of her boyfriend, a clock engineer at that time. Her soul was not at peace and it returned with the purpose of fulfilling the desires of other victims of depression. Cheata, a girl living with her father and stepmother after her biological mother, Chanda, left the family, is suffering from depression. Every day she suffers mental and physical abuses from her stepmother. Together with her longing for her true mother, this had led Cheata to slip deeper and deeper into depression. Holding on to her mother's photo and listening to her mother's lullaby every night does little to heal her heartache and depression.
