Karate Robo Zaborgar follows the story of Yutaka Daimon, the son of a famous scientist who is killed by the ultra-evil organization Sigma. Yutaka inherits his father's final invention, a motorcycle named Zaborgar which has the ability to transform into a robot and together they fight evil. Luckily, Yutaka is also well versed in martial arts and Zaborgar knows karate and Muay Thai and is pretty handy with a knife.

Their ultimate goal is to avenge the death of Yutaka's father and to protect their beloved Japan from Sigma's evil robots and desire to take over the world. During the course of these battles, Yutaka falls in love with Miss Borg, secretary to Dr. Akunomiya, Sigma's leader and this is not something that Akunomiya takes lightly, since Zaborgar is seen as Sigma's greatest enemy.
