Twenty-one-year-old Marco is spending the Easter holidays in his family's beach house. His father is a renowned architect, and Marco is studying to follow his footsteps. They have a competitive relationship which Soledad, Marco's mother, constantly tries to keep under control.

The family is nervously waiting the arrival of Sofía, Marco's first official girlfriend, about whom they know very little. Events force Soledad to return briefly to Santiago, the capital. When Sofía arrives, she upsets whatever domestic serenity there was: she turns up with a load of drugs and a disturbing erotic intensity which will provoke irreversible changes among the family and neighbours.
