ลิลี่ (อิลดิโก แรคซเควี่) และ ปาปี (กาบอร์ คาราลยอส) คู่รักสาวหนุ่มที่ปล้นธนาคารแล้วหนีการตามล่าของตำรวจ เหมือนคู่โจรในตำนานยุคเศรษฐกิจตกต่ำของอเมริกา ด้วยเหตุที่ปล้นในเมืองบ้านนอก ลิลี่กับปาปีจึงมีเวลาหนีและหาที่ซ่อน ทั้งคู่ต้องเจอกับเรื่องราวไม่จบสิ้นของความผิดพลาดที่บางครั้งก็น่าขบขัน

Lili (Ildiko Raczkevy) and Pali (Gabor Karalyos) are casual bank robbers, and perhaps casual lovers.They happen to be at the right place at the right time, see an opportunity, and simply rob a bank. With stolen money in their backpacks, they drift from one experience to the other. They enjoy the money, they enjoy each other, and they enjoy the various towns they visit at least for a period of time.

Suddenly things change, and they are on the run, frantically searching for places to hide. First they run to the hills, and then to the town of Miskolc, where they hole up in a succession of rented rooms. They become known as the Hungarian Bonnie and Clyde, and Pali begins to copy himself on the gun-toting Clyde.

Eventually they run out of hiding places, and are betrayed by friends just like the original Bonnie and Clyde.
