One of my favourite ways to improve the lockout?

Pause deadlifts.

I pause just below the knees to build time under tension, reinforce better positioning, and keep full-body tension throughout the lift.

That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all fix.

Other great variations to target the lockout include:

- Block pulls (focus on the top half of the lift)
- Banded deadlifts (accommodating resistance forces more acceleration)
- Tempo deadlifts (build control and tension throughout)
