"The Shape Of Water" ภาพยนตร์ที่ได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงรางวัล "คริติกส์ ชอยส์ อวอร์ดส์" (Critics' Choice Awards) มากที่สุด 14 สาขา คว้าไปได้สูงสุด 4 รางวัล รวมไปถึงภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยม และผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยมจากฝีมือของ "กิเยร์โม เดล โตโร" (Guillermo del Toro) จากงานประกาศผล ครั้งที่ 23 เมื่อวันที่ 11 มกราคม 2561 ตามเวลาในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา
กิเยร์โม กล่าวขอบคุณผู้หญิงที่มีส่วนร่วมกับภาพยนตร์ อาทิ ดารานำ "แซลลี ฮอว์คินส์" (Sally Hawkins) "อ็อกเทเวีย สเปนเซอร์" (Octavia Spencer) ผู้ร่วมเขียนบทภาพยนตร์ "วาเนสซา เทย์เลอร์" (Vanessa Taylor) สำหรับความทุ่มเทที่มีให้กับภาพยนตร์ หนุ่มใหญ่มากความสามารถยังทิ้งท้ายถึงคนที่ปฏิบัติต่อผู้หญิงอย่างไม่เท่าเทียมกันว่า "ผมทำให้คุณเห็นแล้วว่าใครมายืนอยู่ตรงนี้กับเรา และทำให้ภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้เป็นไปได้ ผมขอบอกคุณอย่างหนึ่ง ถ้าคุณไม่ทำอย่างนั้น คุณไม่รู้หรอกว่าคุณกำลังพลาดอะไรไป"
